Our vision
The Suffolk Food Hall is establishing itself as a regional hub for quality local produce and good living. We will continue striving to provide the best and most exciting food that the area has to offer, actively promoting Suffolk producers and supplying a direct route to market for local farmers. And all the while creating an enjoyable shopping experience that is fulfilling and fruitful!

Our heritage
In recent years, our farm has focussed mainly on pigs and arable crops. However, our great grandfather was a famous breeder of pedigree Punch Horses, Suffolk Sheep and Red Poll cattle, exporting them all over the world.

Our core values
Quality - We aim to supply a full range of the best food we can get our hands on, produced by traditional methods and regional suppliers wherever possible.

Local - As the name suggests, the Suffolk Food Hall sources the large majority of its stock from local farmers – including pigs, potatoes and other veg from our own farm – providing customers with the freshest, most delicious produce that’s low on food miles too.

Provenance - We know where our food comes from, often down to the last acre or paddock. We can trace its journey from field to Food Hall and tell you how it’s been card for along the way. Test us out!

His Red Poll herd, in its prime, consisted of 750 animals, which compared to the current national herd of 3,000 demonstrates how much this native Suffolk breed has declined in the era of mass production.

Happily, Red Polls are now on the increase, helped by the revival of our own herd, although we have a little way to go before we match great-grandfather.
