This workshop is to help give you confidence in using royal icing. This class we will take you step by step through the various skills needed to pipe like a professional. We will teach you how to decorate on some cookies as an introduction to royal icing. During this class you will learn:

• How to make royal icing
• How to judge the consistency required
• Learn how to make piping bags
• Take a look at the equipment and nozzle types needed
• Basics of writing in icing
• How to pipe shells, snail trail, dots detail
• Royal icing flooding techniques
• Talk about other uses of royal icing in cake decorating
• Learn how to store your icing
• Talk through the cookie dough recipe


You will take home all you make plus a couple of icing nozzles for you to get started. Bring nothing we supply all you need, even the apron.
