The paintings on display in this exhibition are the work of local artist, Carolyn Mackender. Carolyn has a degree in the History of Art, took a foundation course in art and design at the now Ipswich Art School and has an "A" level in art. Having three young daughters, she found there was a real lack of original artwork for children's bedrooms and her paintings aim to address this through her bold, colourful and striking designs. However, many of her paintings have found their way into other rooms too! She paints with acrylics on deep edge canvases which reflect the contemporary nature of her work.
