The Broxtead Butchery
No pre-packed portions in this meat counter! We’re proud to have a fully-stocked traditional butcher’s shop with the best meat in the region – rare breed pork from Broxtead, local Red Poll beef, lamb from Spring Hill Farm as well as our own venison, duck, hand-reared Elmwood chickens and wild game – all prepared to order by our skilled butchery team. Try out Gerard’s preservative-free sausages, best quality beef burgers and delicious meatballs too.
The Fishmonger
This wet fish counter is a visual spectacle with a fantastic display of fresh fish from Lowestoft, plus more exotic catches from renewable stock around the globe. Talk to fishmonger Dav from Crystalwaters about how to cook your fish. Open Wednesday to Saturday.
The Bakery
Artisan baker Helena Doy is up before the dawn chorus every morning to bake a fresh batch of organic bread – from stoneground loaf to white bap.
The Delicatessen
Our deli counter is stuffed with a wide range of cheese selected by Hamish Johnston, plus delicious antipasti and a great choice of charcuterie: much of the cured meat comes from the butchery and is prepared on site.
The Market Garden and Store Cupboad
We rely on a network of local market gardens, including our own farm, for our fruit and veg supply, so some days it’s more abundant than others! But we always stock the staples and have a good range of organic produce too.
The Cellar and the Brewery
Local wine merchant Tim Fergusson has hand-picked his favourite vineyards and vintages for every occasion, and we’ve also got a great selection of beers and ciders from local independent and specialist breweries, including St.Peter’s and Aspalls.
