The Cookhouse

First floor in and good weather to put the roof on.
On time to open in July '12
We know that to maintain originality and keep an edge on the multiples, innovation is key. Hence the Cookhouse project is to convert another barn at the Food Hall into a set of commercial kitchens (in the widest sense of the term) for start-up and expanding businesses.
Several of our existing suppliers are already looking to 'join the party', although we are looking for other food and drink business who want to run their enterprise in a facility that gives a lot of public exposure. The Cookhouse is to be an environment for business development, collaboration and commercial support; with the Food Hall as a test bed there will be chances to take new products to other independents (farm shops, deli's and convenience stores) and the wider market.

The Cookhouse will allow vistors to see, understand and experience more about our great Suffolk produce. We are also incorporating a KinderKitchen for children and people with special needs, lecture and educational space, and the Samford Restaurant is relocating (due to popular demand) so that you'll have the chance to taste the great food as well as learn about it.
