Commercial Kitchens

Whilst the restaurant takes in the view upstairs in the Cookhouse, a range of food and drink artisans use the commercial kitchens downstairs.  Resident businesses include:

The Main
Ingredient

James and his team provide catering for weddings, boardroom hospitality, private dining & parties in East Anglia & London.

Their objective is to give you exceptional food and attentive, personal service as your very own catering team.

Each and every menu is considered, dishes have been tried and tested, seasonality is prioritised, local produce is used (when it’s the best we can get) and above all they serve tasty food.

The Slow Dough Bakery
The Slow Dough Bakery aims to promote “Real Bread” as defined by the Real Bread Campaign which should contain no additives or enzymes, take at least 4 hours to make in one continuous process without part-baking or freezing of dough, (All our breads take at least 18 hours). We believe that Real Bread, as well as being delicious, is better for nutritional health, our communities and the environment.

Real bread is an alternative to “factory” bread which has become the majority of bread consumed in the UK. Factory bread is usually produced using roller milled flour rather than stoneground flour, which removes most of the vitamins and minerals from the wheat grain.
Snack Attack

Snack Attach / Emerald offer hot and cold buffets of all kinds, and with a tailored menu service you can ensure everything is just as you would want it.

As well as catering services, they are also contracted for fresh sandwiches to garage outlets and to the eastern Co-op branches.  Snack Attack maintains the best possible standards at all times and are proud of the excellent results.

Arabella Reeve

We all live busy lives so how about ordering some dishes from Arabella's selection.  Every dish can be cooked to suit the number of mouths you have to feed and can be prepared in foil dishes or crockery of your own.

Such dishes are also available in the Food Hall, both frozen and via the delicatessen.

The Outrageous Cake Co

They design and create Wedding & Celebration cakes for any event.

A commitment to quality is evident in every one of their delicious, hand-made products. And a friendly, down-to-earth service is the icing on the cake!

Graham and Tina specialize in quirky fun cakes, but anything goes. Only your imagination will restrict you...

Commercial kitchen prospectus

We are looking for other food and drink businesses who want to run their enterprise in a place that gives a lot of public exposure.  The Cookhouse is an environment for business development, collaboration and commercial support; with the Food Hall as a test bed there are chances to take new products to other independents (farm shops, deli's and convenience stores) and the wider market.  The Cookhouse allows vistors to see, understand and experience more about our great Suffolk produce.  Please see the prospectus if you would like to know more about renting a kitchen in the Cookhouse.
